Sarah Palin Belongs on Fox Not Discovery

Discovery Communications is planning to produce an 8-part TV show on Sarah Palin's Alaska. Palin is an American politician, author, speaker, and political commentator, but this former Republican Vice Presidential nominee is no friend of green.

Palin began her political career in 1992 as a member of the Wasilla, Alaska City Council (population 5,469 at the 2000 census) and she then became the city's mayor. In 2002 she chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, in 2004 she resigned. In 2006 she became the Governor of Alaska, in 2009 she resigned due to ethics complaints.

In November 2009 her autobiography Going Rogue: An American Life was released and it quickly became a best-seller.

In January 2010 Palin began providing political commentary for the populist conservative media outlet Fox News. In March 2010 Discovery Communications announced that she was to host her own TV show that aims to showcase the "powerful beauty of Alaska."

While in office, Palin favored oil and gas development over increased protections for endangered animals. She resisted efforts to protect endangered Cook Inlet beluga whales and America's dwindling populations of polar bears. She supported dangerous drilling for oil in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge, and escalated Alaska's brutal aerial wolf-killing program.

Palin's disrespect for the environment and disregard for science has done real damage to Alaska's wildlife and endangered Alaska's natural heritage.

A petition is being circulated to send a message to Discovery Communications urging them to drop Sarah Palin's new show from their programming schedule.

Palin's position on Fox is entirely consistent with her right wing persona, but entirely out of place at Discovery.

They should put her and Ann Coulter on the same TV show (closed circuit TV only, in all jail cells in the US)...:-)

Sarah Palin has blood on her hands. She was instrumental in the slaughter of wolves in Alaska. This cruel and barbaric practice is abhorrent to all animal lovers.
Please scrap the documentary, or give the project to someone who really loves and appreciates Alaska and all it's wildlife.
It's sick sick, sick.
