Video - Norway's EV Leadership Sets a World Record

Powered by hydroelectric energy, Norway is one of the leading markets in the world for electric cars. Norway now has the distinction of holding the largest meeting of electric vehicles in the world. The record was set when a total of 260 electric cars came together.

Norway has made substantial wealth from gas and oil. However, the Scandinavian nation has increasingly been moving in the direction of divestment from fossil fuels. In the summer of 2014 the nation's pension funds divested from "worthless" fossil fuels and the government is sure to follow.
